FAQ

Shipping

All orders ship out of Philadelphia, PA every Monday and Tuesday. Depending on when your order is placed, please allow up to 7 days for processing before your order goes out. Once your package is on its way, you will receive an email with tracking information from our shipping carrier.

Plant Care & Growing Conditions

We raise our plants in carefully controlled conditions before they make their way to you. Most varieties are kept in 70-80% humidity under medium to bright indirect light. Plants like anthuriums and begonias need a bit more, so those are grown in 80-90% humidity. You will always find the specific growing conditions listed directly in each plant's description so you know exactly what to expect.

All of our plants are grown in a blend of stratum, perlite, and buffered coco coir.

One of the most important things you can do when your plant arrives is give it time. We strongly recommend holding off on repotting for at least 3-4 weeks. Travel is hard on live plants and their root systems, and jumping straight into repotting can cause unnecessary stress, root rot, and leaf yellowing. Let it settle first.

Live Arrival Guarantee

We take pride in how we pack and ship, and we want every plant to arrive the way you imagined it. Live arrival is guaranteed on all orders shipped with overnight service. Because carrier delays are outside of our control, we are not able to extend that guarantee to 2-3 day shipping options.

For potted plants, live arrival is guaranteed exclusively with a Next Day Air upgrade. We also strongly recommend selecting weather protection at checkout during the winter and summer months.

If anything goes wrong, reach out to us. We will always do our best to make it right.

Please keep in mind that broken leaves or stems can occasionally happen when shipping live plants and unfortunately do not qualify for a refund, replacement, or reship. We pack everything as snugly and securely as we can to minimize that risk.

Returns

We do not accept returns or issue refunds outside of what is covered under our live arrival guarantee. We encourage you to review our full return policy before placing your order so you feel confident going in.

TC Care Guide

Step 1 - Let it rest.

Your TC just traveled. Give it 1-2 days in its sealed packaging before you do anything. Let it adjust to the temperature of your space before opening.

Step 2 - Rinse it clean.

Put on a pair of gloves, open the package, and rinse all of the agar jelly off the roots under running water. Take your time with this step. Getting the roots fully clean is one of the most important things you can do for a healthy start.

Step 3 - Plant it up.

Get your TC into your medium of choice. We use a blend of stratum, perlite, and buffered coco coir, but go with what you know and trust.

Step 4 - Create your humidity dome.

Place your newly planted TC into a clear sealed container or zip bag. Check back within 24 hours. If you see condensation forming on the inside walls, you are sitting right at 100% humidity. That is exactly where you want to be.

Step 5 - Set your lights.

Place your TC under a grow light on a consistent schedule of 8-14 hours per day. Steady light during this phase matters.

Step 6 - Open it up slowly.

Keep your TC fully sealed for the first 7 days. After that, begin cracking it open a little more each day over the next 7-28 days until it is fully adjusted to the air around it and ready to grow on its own.
